Background Information
The Dais continues to advance its advocacy of a gender-equal and inclusive world through its upcoming Dialogue series spread across a span of three months, under the Inspiring Wo(men) initiative. Launched on 8th March 2022, the Inspiring Wo(men) was a lively online panel discussion on the urgent necessity of wo(men)’s perspective in public policy as we navigate through a global climate crisis.
Advancing this initiative in a three-month-long festival, the whole series is designed in support of the 2022 UN Women International Women’s Day, following the theme of “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow.”

Women4Climate: On the cross-cutting themes of gender, climate and sustainability-
April 24, 2022
Climate change is NOT gender-neutral; it is thus important to explore sustainability through a ‘female gaze’ to find more holistic solutions targetted at those who are the most impacted by this catastrophe - the women themselves. Through this dialogue, the Dais will celebrate and learn from the milestones of wo(men) in whose footsteps we shall take after to continue building a sustainable world.
Thinking through Wellness: Dialogue on wo(men)’s wellbeing -
MAY 15, 2022
The word ‘Health has traditionally been restricted to physical wellbeing. Emotions have historically been feminised and thus, talking about emotional and mental wellbeing is seen as a weakness and is easily dismissed. In this dialogue, we aim to deconstruct the true meaning of health and wellness, break the gender-coding of emotions and celebrate the power of being ‘emotional.’
The road less taken: trailblazers in non-tranditional fields -
May 29, 2022
As assertive wo(men), they are equally as creative. For wo(men) who have long fought to get a respectful seat at the table, it takes immense courage to create your place at unconventionality. Breaking barriers through their art, wo(men) personify peace, grit, power and colour. This dialogue will be a celebration of creativity and insightfulness as we will bid goodbye to the month of May.
YestoYouth: embracing your colours -
June 19, 2022
Gender is NOT linear but is a colourful spectrum. Discussing the importance of embracing oneself, the objective of the final dialogue to honour the youth and uniqueness of every individual. Especially targetted for the teenagers, it will be held in the PRIDE month.
